white cardboard | also call ivory board, is a strong white cardboard made of relatively thick quality of pure wood pulp, by calendering or embossing process, mainly used for printing business cards, invitations, certificates, trademarks, and packaging and packing decoration. quantitative in the 210 - 400gsm.
Coated paper | also called art paper, coated art paper, copper printing paper. Coated paper is a kind of high-level printing paper which has been coated by a compound to impart certain qualities to the paper, including weight, surface gloss, smoothness or reduced ink absorbency. Mainly used for printing covers and illustrations of high-level books, color picture cards, a variety of fancy advertising, samples, packaging, trademarks, etc. |
Grey board | Gray cardboard is made from a recycled paper production. Products into a single gray, double grey, all gray, are environment-friendly packaging materials. Main use: packaging boxes, advertising panels, folders, photo frames back, bags, hardcover book, storage box, sample, lining, partitions and so on. |

4-Colour Process | The subtractive primaries: yellow, magenta and cyan, plus black in four-colour process printing. These four inks can combine to reproduce full-colour artwork and designs.
Pantone Colours | A library of standard colours which can be reproduced accurately. |
Silkscreen Printing | This method is where ink is forced through openings in a piece of fine mesh screening that has been setup with a specific design on it. Some applications can be multiple screens with different designs to be used with many colors to come together in one final design.
Offset Printing | Any form of printing in which the ink transfer is not made directly from the plate to the paper. The offset is supplied by the use of a blanket (a large rubber roller). The plate transfers the ink to the blanket which, in turn, transfers the ink to the paper. The most common form is offset lithography (also the most common method of commercial printing overall). Letterpress and gravure are two other printing methods that can be offset. Offset lithography is distinguished from these two by the fact that there is no etched or raised surface on the plate; the separation of printing and non-printing areas is made chemically, rather than physically. |
Varnishing | A thin lacquer coating applied after printingoffers some protection against scuffing and is cleanable. Finish: Glossy, Matt & Satin (semi-glossy)
UV Varnishing | A clear protective lacquer coating which is cured by ultraviolet light. Finish: High glossy
Calendering | A mechanical process using polished rollers under high pressure to smooth out a surface: Finish:Glossy
Film Lamination | A film coating is a thin layer of a plastic or OPP film lamination on the entire sheet of paper by using special glue. Finish: Glossy, Matt & Satin
Embossing | Stamping done over a non-printed or foiled area in which the image is raised. This process calls for a die.
Debossing | Stamping done over a non-printed or foiled area In which the image is lowered. This process calls for a die. |
Foil Stamping | This is a method of applying an image or logo to paper using a colored foil. A raised plate, generally made of brass or copper is heated and pressed between the colored foil and the paper. This process : "burns" the image into the paper, which in turn is glued to the paper board. |
Combination Stamping | It is the latest solution in foil stamping & embossing technology. When the processes of stamping and embossing for the same position are undertaken separately, registration problems could be created.
Spot UV Varnish | A clear protective lacquer which is cured by ultraviolet light applies on the specific area of the printed sheet only. Finish: Glossy, Matt, Satin or Sparkler.
Lithography | Litho quality graphics can be incorporated into corrugated packaging in 2 ways, either through single-face laminating or labeling the combined board. Both result in high quality graphics with bright colors and sharp resolution.
Single face laminating | A printed "top sheet" can be laminated directly to the medium as the outside liner. The printed top sheet covers the entire sheet and is then ready to be converted.
Labeling combined board | Also known as litho labeling, a printed sheet or label is laminated to corrugated board. The label can be full sized or "spot". Full sized labels are laminated prior to converting whereas spot labeling can be done after the box has been converted. |
